During a road trip to Colorado, I stayed for part of the trip in Paonia. During that stay, I took a short half-day trip to Black Canyon of the Gunnison National Park. On my way back to Paonia that afternoon, I passed a pasture full of horses that were very close to the fence. Unable to resist, I backed up for a fifteen-minute stop to photograph them, and a couple of them were curious enough to approach and look me over, including this beauty.
