This Image was shot just before sunrise. Possibly the craziest sky I have ever witnessed. It lit like this after developing from an almost nothing sky to what you see, and only lasted for a matter of minutes. I stopped the shot I had been previously taking and quickly set up this composition which is a long exposure of 166 seconds.

Congratulations on being selected the winner in the "Sky Is On Fire" challenge. This was really a tough one for me to nail down. I was looking for color in the sky offset by an incredible example of composition. I kept coming back to your image because of the turbulent sky juxtapositioned against the glassy water. The leading lines cause by the pilings created a feast for my eyes. I really love your picture!

Congrats on your challenge victory! The sky definitely looks like fire, but the overall effect of the picture is tranquility.
