This motor car relic of the past sits permanently attached to the ground as a reminder of those who ventured into the American Southwest, decades ago. US Interstate Highway 40 (I-40) was built in the 1960s. It replaced the famous two-lane highway Route 66, in this part of the United States. The car was donated to the US Park Service in 2006 by the owners of the Arizona Automotive Service business in Holbrook Arizona.
