While standing on my deck yesterday, I noticed a small leaf fluttering in the wind about 10 feet above the ground. Oddly, it was twisting and spinning yet never fell to the ground. A closer look revealed the leaf was attached to a single, micro-fine strand of silk from a spider. I grabbed the camera and tried to capture it suspended in mid-air. Of course, autofocus did not work, so the challenge was to catch an in focus image using manual focus. It was frustrating and fun at the same time.
