Last summer, 2015, my husband and I went to Alaska for the fourth time. Three of those times, our trip has included going to Haines, Alaska. This trip we rented a car and boarded the ferry to stay in Haines for a week. During our stay, we drove up to Haines Junction in the Yukon Territory, Canada. Besides seeing a grizzly cross the main road in front of our car, we went to this beautiful campground in the Kluane National Park where there was a lake with the most amazing shades of blue to green water. As I was walking along the shoreline, I saw this piece of driftwood. I love the texture, depth and curves created by the water through time. I chose to present it in black and white to accentuate the special details of this driftwood.
