Blue ringed octopus are incredibly poisonous but have very rarely actually killed someone. This one was hunting on an artificial reef near Manado in North Sulawesi, Indonesia. The image was taken using an Olympus EPL-3 camera with a Panasonic-Leica 45mm Macro lens in an Olympus housing. Lighting was provided by a single Sea & Sea YS-D1 strobe.
