My second encounter with this regal gentleman; he is the lead stallion in a wild herd in central British Columbia, Canada, and he is all business!
I had been watching & quietly photographing the herd for about 20 minutes when on some imperceptible cue from the lead mare, the herd suddenly retreated for the cover of the nearby forest. As they they did, this fellow instantly positioned himself between the herd & I, blew out a forceful warning, then stood his ground to make sure I understood that visiting hours were over!
