These are pelicans and they are seasonal migraters to this area in Iowa. They were on my bucket list of things to see in Iowa up close. I’d seen them traveling on the interstate unfortunately you can’t just pull over on the interstate to go take pictures lol. The trek to get to them was LONG I lost a shoe in the wetland area, got a lovely sunburn and it was SOOOO worth it! Seeing these guys in person choked me up, I felt this in my heart! This was one of the coolest most magnificent things I’ve ever come in my life! This picture was taken with love, I hope you all enjoy it!!!
