They recently finished redesigning the Houston Garden Center (the actual garden, not the gardening supply chain), which is now called Centennial Gardens, and in mid-March 2015 I went there for the first time since before the changes. These purple irises were the first flowers I saw as I entered from the parking lot, and I was lucky enough to catch this bee emerging from the center of the iris just before it flew away.
