I took this photograph on what is my family's most loved and celebrated holiday. Having grown up with members of my family having served in the military, with my great uncle giving the ultimate sacrifice at the Battle of Normandy, my parents taught us the history of our country and how our freedom isn't free. Millions of men and women have done their duties to give us our freedoms that we have today and as I stand and watch our night sky light up with beautiful colors, I can't help but feel proud of our military and thankful that we are able to celebrate this most joyous holiday.
