These ducks are a frequent visitor to our dam. They have striking feather plumes on their side and have a characteristic
whistle, hence their name. They feed by cropping grass (like a goose). Our's are very timid and therefore very challenging to get a good photo. I move an inch closer and they move an inch further away, which usually ends up with me doing a complete circle around the entire dam area. I must invest in a stronger lens!
