Photography is not about capturing an image it's about creating an image. It may sound the same but they are worlds apart. Photography allows me to challenge myself to improve on my last image... this is not always easy but it's essential if you want to explore the art form.

My camera lets me express myself. It is a paintbrush, a tool that needs to be explored and studied so as to get the most out of it. It is the Swiss Army knife that opens doors for me and allows me to enter a whole new world of fantasy.

I find inspiration when I see people. They are my inspiration. As you will see I mainly do creations with people and fashion related images. I do however have a passion for the wild and escape to it as often as possible.

One of the photos I am most proud of is"Elaine"  because  the model was only 14years old and we managed to work together to capture an image that portrayed the lifestyle of the times and yet also the maturity of the ladies of the era. It was also only her second shoot... ever.

My favorite lens is Canon 85mm f1.2L ... which got burnt in a fire and I still have not replaced... they are expensive. So I now use my Canon 135mm F2 L quite a bit. Just wish the manufacturer would add IS to these great lenses as I do not use a tripod. I feel restricted with it.  My favorite item in my camera bag is Canon 5d mark iii.

These are 3 quick tips I’d like to share with fellow photographers:

1. Fall in love with your subject matter. Do not just capture the image.
2. Know your equipment like the back of hand, until you are shooting in pure manual mode you do not know your camera.
3. Visualize what you want to see before you pick up the camera.

If I could shoot one dream location it would be Russia because it has such history and dramatic backdrops for me to explore and place a creation into it.... also the models there are not exactly ugly. Russia is a bucket list for me which I guess I will never achieve ...but one can dream can one not? Dreams is what the art of photography is made of.
