"First of all, it was a very tough task to select winners, as there were so many great images submitted for this contents. Great job everyone! I selected "Tiny Frog" because it has everything needed to be the best: amazing colors, composition (rule of 3rds - check!) complexity (shooting a living creature can be tricky), it is emotional and has story: tiny frog is balancing on tips of drawing pencils, tools of an artist. It tells us about an importance of keeping our life in balance between stability (without making it boring) and climbing to the edge, engaging creativity and taking risks. I was born and raised in Kiev, Ukraine and live in California, USA now. I grew up in Kiev, Ukraine where I later attended college and received a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering. Needless to say, I’ve never put my degree to work in its specialty. It was a time of economical collapse after the fall of the Soviet Union, where the entire country was in chaos. This was when my“official” education ended. Since graduating I’ve never had any other formal education, all of my skills have been self-taught."
