Here is something we can learn from garysanchez about the techniques and story behind this awarded photo.
garysanchez is an amateur shutterbug. Doing whatever he can, that springs to mind..

1. garysanchez, where did you take this photo?

We took this photo in a field near Caledon,Ontario in Canada.

2. What time of day?

The photo was taken around 3pm in the height of summer.

3. Anything worth sharing about lighting?

All the lighting was natural. The photo was shot with a low ISO and fast shutter speed at f9.0.

4. What equipment did you use?

I used a Nikon D700 with Nikkor 24-70mm f2.8 lens mounted on a tripod. A cable release was used to take the photos as we didn't have a third person to shoot it.

5. What inspired you to take this photo?

Just wanting to do something fun had us come up with this idea.

6. Did you do any post-processing? if yes, tell us about it!

Not a whole lot of post for this one. One photo was shot with the scene empty and the other was shot with us in it where I was laying across some milk crates. In Photoshop the second photo was stacked on the first, made a layer mask on the second photo and the crates were brushed out.
Finally some levels and saturation adjustments and we were done.

7. What equipment do you normally have in your bag?

Nikon D700
Nikkor 27-70mm f2.8
Canon EOS 400D
Sigma 18-200mm f3.5
Canon efs 60mm f2.8
2 x yongnuo flash guns
Variuos filters(Infrared,ND)
Tripod

8. Any advice for others trying to capture something similar?

These are really fun photos to shoot. Come up with what ever you can and just go with it.
