Behind The Lens

Location

Taken one overcast evening in the CBD, Sydney, Australia.

Time

Just before sunset on a hot and humid summer’s evening.

Lighting

It was a humid and cloudy day with not much light at all. Luckily I’d equipped a fast prime lens.

Equipment

Shot on an Olympus OM-D E-M1 mark ii with a Panasonic Leica 25mm f/1.4

Inspiration

It was one of those days where inspiration was scarce. I wasn’t having much success hunting for good street photo opportunities and decided to focus on less obvious subjects.

Editing

Only simple highlight and shadow adjustments to the raw file.

In my camera bag

I prefer a minimal approach to gear. One small micro four thirds body and one, maybe two prime lenses.

Feedback

When you’re not feeling inspired try something different. For example, if you usually shoot the ‘pretty’ try shoot something ‘gritty’.
