Thank you. 😀 This was the first night I tried this kind of shot and it was really fun

I like this one. It would be even better IMHO if the buildings in the background had also been sharp.

Location
I was visiting friends in London and we went out to dinner at the Canary Wharf, which is where this photo was takenTime
This photo was taken in the evening after dinner. The long exposure made the sky look lighter than it was. We had been out photographing all day, so we had our cameras with us.Lighting
I had always admired light streaks but had never really done one. My friend was a photographer and helped me with camera settings. I knew I wanted all the street lights to have stars, so used f22.Equipment
My camera was a Canon 70D with Tamron 16-300 lens. I used my purse on the sidewalk as a tripod, with the camera angled up. My camera was set to bulb and I used a cable release.Inspiration
My admiration for light trail photography, and having this perfect location to try one, and having my friend there to help me was a serendipitous occasion I couldn't pass up.Editing
I only had to contrast the photo slightly. I was thrilled with it straight out of camera. In my camera bag
My new Canon R6 with the Canon 24-105 f4. An extra battery and SD card. An ND filter and polarizer. I also have a cheap shower curtain to put on the ground if needed. And for safety, I have a police whistle that I wear if I'm alone. If I fell and needed assistance it would be very helpful. In cold weather I also pack mittens that fold back so fingers are usable. And of course, a couple of lens cloths.Feedback
Just have patience. And use trial and error. I think this shot was my third one. I counted to 10 using the cable release. But, depending on the lighting, It could be more or less.. Look at each photo to help you determine the exposure time. And have fun!
