Behind The Lens

Location

I took this photo in my garden in colorado, These flowers are extremely hard to keep around for long, they grow on a vine. They are called a passion flower.

Time

This was an early morning shot.

Lighting

I love shooting at dawn or dusk there is just something magical about the light at those periods of the day. The light at those times really brightens and enriches the colors of your subject.

Equipment

Nikon D60 with a macro lens. Due to the lighting no flash was needed. I love the way this lens shoots it creates this incredible depth of field that adds so much character to this still life subject.

Inspiration

I adore anything with this "weird detail" I love subjects that are not the expected. Mose people have not seen a flower like this that has this booming ambre color.

Editing

No post processing was needed on this photo I really wanted to capture the raw beauty.

In my camera bag

4-5 lens and my camera base, i'm all about simplicity.

Feedback

Lighting is everything, when you have the perfect lighting and you are not having to focus on correcting that it is amazing the amount of other details you can focus on and discover when shooting!
