One of my first photos, years before going pro. This was meant to be a proof of concept for a feature film I was writing at the time.

We shot this on the roof of a condominium in Portland Oregon. We had only an hour to shoot. Back then we were younger and more adventurous.

Looking back, what we did was extremely dangerous, there were no railings on the side and there was a 33 story drop. I do not recommend this unless you both knew what you were doing and professionals. I had a great fear of heights, while the model wasn't afraid at all!

I used a Canon 30D with a regular 16-55mm kit lens. We took a couple of takes and this one came out perfect!

I made adjustments to bring the natural clouds in the backdrop to really pop and other elements in the composition. The sun actually gave that sparkle on her belt.
