Nouel Chrome

This is my very first Portrait in Portland Oregon using natural lighting. Originally this image was highly stylized in Photoshop, and I was just getting back into grips with the program since version 5.5, and tried to achieve something striking and authentic. I ended up scrapping the edit entirely and went with a less-is-more approach. Nouel naturally captured these moments and many more in the following years.

Nouel was my Producer in the first years of my 'accidental' career by providing me with a camera she rarely used! What started out as a hobby, turned side-hustle, Nouel helped me tremendously toward my craft in people photography. I am forever grateful.

Side-note, for a short time, this photo was license as public-domain, which I had forgotten to change it in the meta-data until it was too late. So you may see this on a jacket of a Punk-Rock Album, and hair-care blogs, and product pages. ????????‍♂️#doh
