Location
This photos was taken in downtown Little Rock Arkansas on the River Walk Parking Garage.Time
This image happened basically by accident. I was out scouting for another shoot. I went to park in the parking garage and realized there was a Comicon going on and as I got out of my car that morning around 11AM out popped this perfect Spiderman cosplay and I literally ran up to him and asked to get a couple shots.Lighting
There really isn't anything special about the lighting as this was a very impromptu photoshoot. However there was a lot of relighting in photoshop to make the image pop with the addition of the New York skyline and flare.Equipment
The only thing I used to create this image was a Sony a7II, Sigma 35mm Art 1.2, and photoshop.Inspiration
I was location scouting for a end of the world photoshoot so in my mind I wanted to destroy a city in the background so being on top of a parking garage or building was probably going to be the coolest locations. But as I was searching this parking garage out came a perfect cosplay of Spiderman and the rest is history.Editing
Post processing is really what made this image happen and really there wasn't a whole lot of it. I first handled the raw image in camera raw to flatten it up a bit for re lighting. I then Pushed it into photoshop where i masked out the background and found the best looking backdrop that played well with the colors. I then did a relight of the backdrop and colorized the backdrop with dual color luts for sunset colors and night lighting then mixed based on the horizon and sunset. After all was said and done I popped on a color lut that I have been developing based on famous vintage paintings and mixed. In my camera bag
Ive been looking at upgrading to a higher megapixel but as of now my sony a7iii has been amazing. I also carry in my bag a Sigma Art 35mm 1.2 (Amazingly sharp for the aperture), and a 85mm sony Cine Alta 85mm T2 (This lens is an all manual lens and meant for my film work but i love the images it produced so much and it fills a full frame nicely), other than that I dont Carry much else as I use Off camera flashes for most my outdoor work.Feedback
Be at the right place at the right time! If you know there is going to be a comicon near you just hang out and meet some people. Most people that dress up for cons absolutely want to have their picture taken and are very friendly so who knows maybe you can get an awesome fantasy photoshoot if you just ask.
