Location
This was taken from the stern of "Little Toot" on a sunset dolphin tour in Clearwater Florida. The pirate ship was another tourist boat running in the opposite directionTime
This was taken about half an hour before sunsetLighting
i was shooting into the sun, which was a bit of a challenge while trying to keep the salt spray off the lensEquipment
this was taken handheld using a Canon RP and 18-240mm lensInspiration
we were in town for a wedding and exploring during our downtime. the pirate ship sailing into the sunset made an interwsting shotEditing
this was massaged slightly using LightroomIn my camera bag
I normally carry a Canon RP or 80D (I finally wore out the shutter in my trusty 70D) with a Sigma 18/300mm mounted, and a 5D Mk III with any number of lenses, ranging from a 8mm diagonal fisheye to a Sigma 200-500mm telephoto depending on what I'll be shooting. I'm usually looking for cool things at random while traveling, so I often don't plan shots beforehand - I'm a pretty impromptu/opportunistic photographer. I've found I spend the most time with various prime lenses and the 18-300mm Sigma though, the Sigma's range lets you capture almost anything on the fly and reduces the need for lens changes out in the openFeedback
this was just a quick opportunity with the pirate ship
