Location
The photo was taken in the natural park Lagunas de la Mata-Torrevieja, in the pink lagoon, next to Torrevieja, Spain.Time
The photo was taken late in the afternoon, in early May.Lighting
We waited for the sun to go down to take advantage of the clouds, looking for the reflections and contrasts due to the color of the water and the remains of salt on the shore.Equipment
For this photo I used the Olympus OMD E-M1 Mark II, with the M.zuiko 7-14 f.2/8 at 7mm, with a Manfrotto tripod, plus a gradient filter.Inspiration
The inspiration came from the place itself, with the characteristic pink color of the lagoon and the accumulation of salt on the shore, plus the walnuts went with it.Editing
Yes, after the relay in capture one, I passed it to photoshop to edit it a little bit improving the image slightly. In my camera bag
As Olympus is a brand with relatively small equipment, I usually carry a lot of equipment with me: 2 camera bodies, currently the OM System OM1 + the Olympus OMD E-M1X, along with the M.zuiko 7-14mm f2.8, 12-40mm f2.8, 40-150mm f2.8, the 150-400mm f4.5 telephoto lens and the 60mm macro, plus 2 converters and several filters.Feedback
As always the main thing is the light, look for the best time of the day, (in this case we waited until sunset) either in the morning or in the afternoon. Try to look for the position where the sun helps the photo (in this case I looked for the sun to be in front of me) and if possible with the tripod the better.
