Behind The Lens

Location

The photo was taken on one of the streets of Stockholm, during a vacation trip.

Time

The photo was taken in the middle of the afternoon, during a walk around the city.

Lighting

Being a bit cloudy, the light, which was soft, filtered between the columns giving a curious aspect to the image.

Equipment

The photo was taken with an Olympus E-300 and a Zuiko 18-42 f3.5-5.6 lens at 18mm.

Inspiration

What inspired me to take the photo was the lighting that entered between the pillars, creating a play of light and shadows in the interior part.

Editing

The photo was developed in Capture One and later edited in photoshop to make it black and white.

In my camera bag

Currently I vary the equipment, depending on what I am going to photograph, most of the time as we are going to photograph wildlife or landscape I carry 2 camera bodies, the Olympus omd E-M1X and the OM System Olympus OM-1, plus a few Zuiko lenses: 7-14 f2.8, 12-40 f2.8, 60mm macro f2.8 and 150-400 f4.5, plus two multipliers, the MC-14 and the MC-20.

Feedback

Wherever you go, if you do not have a fixed idea of what you are going to photograph, be attentive to what you see, visualize it, and if you see something interesting stop and take advantage of the moment, you may not have the opportunity to photograph it again.
