Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken near where I live in my home village of bestwood, the area is nicknamed bulwell bogs, and due to its name you wouldn’t think a photo like this would be taken there.

Time

I always love travelling around at all times but this one in particular was captured around 2pm, the clouds, the blue sky, the sun light is all just perfect to me.

Lighting

Other than the sunlight that’s all there is to the lighting, the shadows cast by the trees and the leaves are very stunning though.

Equipment

I used an iPhone 11 for this shot, no special equipment.

Inspiration

I was on a walk with my girlfriend, and I found this spot through a few bushes and trees, I always try to explore to find the right angle and the perfect shot, in my opinion.

Editing

Just a light bit of post processing was done, a high dynamic range filter was applied just to really accentuate the colours and the light.

In my camera bag

First thing in my backpack is my favourite camera, the canon 2000D with 15-80mm lens. and then I always have a Polaroid and my trusty iPhone 11 for shots that require a quick snap.

Feedback

Just wonder out to your local forest or park, you can always find the most beautiful shots right next to where you live, take a camera, a phone, anything you have to hand and you’ll be able to capture something very similar to this.
