Gurudongmar Lake, Sikkim, Northeast of India

This tiny blue water lake is situated at a height of 17,800 feet from the sea levels close to the India-China border and is one of the highest altitude natural lakes in the world.
The most interesting fact about this lake is that even if it is surrounded by snow-covered mountain ranges all around, it never freezes completely. Locals believe that the water of this lake has healing powers. Interesting... isn’t it?
Due to the high altitude, the journey till this lake is quite difficult. Infact a majority of tourists never make it to the point.
