Behind The Lens

Location

I took a photo of this snail company on a trip around Kurzeme, Latvia. Kuldiga is a very nice city in Kurzeme.

Time

Photographed on the afternoon of August 8, 2019. It was rainy all day. It was raining while shooting. I am a nature photographer and therefore I could not miss such a unique view. I didn't understand why these snails had gathered in large numbers on a bench in the park, but the view was fantastic.

Lighting

The lighting was like on a rainy day. Dark, sky gray, rain raining, a lot of people around.

Equipment

I am an amateur, nature photographer. I do not use any aids. I have been using a Nikon D5300 camera with various lenses lately. I took this photo using a TAMRON 17-50 F2.8 lens. F2.8; 50mm; 1 / 100s; ISO 320.

Inspiration

My hobby is nature photography. I love to take close-ups. Of course, I also photograph landscapes very well. Best when there are beautiful, cloudy skies. When traveling around Europe, I always bring home a lot of photos from the mountains, including sea views. Everything that is nature is my favorite photo objects.

Editing

I usually do only minimal post-processing on my photos. I only do framing, contrast improvement. Also, this photo has only been framed.

In my camera bag

My photo bag usually has a camera, three lenses, cleaners, spare batteries and practically nothing more. When photographing in my village, I usually do without a photo bag. I only bring one spare lens (usually 15-300mm) and a spare battery.

Feedback

Go to nature! Of course with a camera! Look around, don't run. The more you are in nature, the more you will see and get nice shots. Of course, you will also relax from everyday problems.
