Behind The Lens

Location

The photo was taken right in front of my condo.

Time

It was around 5pm. The weather was pretty good, the sun was shining bright with no signs of upcoming storm. But then everything changed in seconds. I was telling my wife:" Look, what's going on in the sky". I grabbed my camera and ran barefoot trying to capture the right moment cause the clouds were moving pretty fast.

Lighting

I wanted the image to look mysterious and to draw the viewer's attention to the dramatic scene unfolding right in front of my eyes.

Equipment

I was using tripod with Nikon D7000 and Tokina wide angle 11-16 lenses.

Inspiration

It was just pure instinct and lucky chance to be at the right rime on the right place.

Editing

I never use Photoshop, so all the changes were made in Lightroom, just playing, with light, shadows and contrast.

In my camera bag

It's pretty simple, Just camera with attached wide angle lenses and sometimes macro lenses in addition.

Feedback

Just look around you, be attentive , trying to use creative approach. Enjoy life with all its beautiful diversity and splendor. And shoot, shoot , shoot. It's like in that saying: Tell me and I'll remember, Show me and I'll forget, Involve me and I will learn.
