I took this photo during a trip in Paris, on the Bir-hakeim Bridge.Time
The bridge is one of my favorite in Paris, so I go there at least once during my visits in the city. This time I remember coming back from the Liberty Statue that is on the over side of the walk linked to the bridge, that I never shot at night before.Lighting
I saw the fog around the Eiffel Tower, and its light was lighting it, I wanted to capture that beautiful moment and make it surrealistic, a bit supernatural too.Equipment
This was shot with my Nikon D5300 and the 18-200mm from Tamron. I used the bridge as a tripod.Inspiration
The scenery was mysterious and gave this kind of UFO vibes that I love, I couldn't miss this opportunity to capture it.Editing
Usually I don't process much my photos, only fixing lights and shadows, adding a bitof saturation... But on a night shot like this one I enhanced the lights, depended the shadows and modified the colors of the fog and the sky a little to add more surreal vibesIn my camera bag
The equipment that never leaves besides my camera is my 12-24mm and my 35mm, both from Nikon.Feedback
Wait for the early morning, the blue hour or the night, fog appears easily at those moment of the day. Specially near water like here near the Seine.
