The pose and expression makes it seem as tho the leopard is remembering what the wilderness was like.

This is so beautiful - it's breathtaking! I love big cats anyway, but the colors are so vibrant and the look in the eyes is mesmerizing. Great shot!

Location
Tulsa, Oklahoma ZooTime
Mid-morning.Lighting
Lighting was decent, just not very dramatic.Equipment
A Sony RX10M3. With a zoom range of 24mm to 600mm, it's a great little walk-around-the-zoo camera.Inspiration
How can you not take a photo of such a beautiful animal?Editing
Yes, the lighting at this location was very flat. I used some dodge and burn to give it a little depth. In my camera bag
In addition to the Sony RX10M3, I use a Sony A77II. Lenses are Sony 70-400, Tamron 150-600, Sony 18-250, and a Tokina 100mm macro.Feedback
The choice here was to shoot through smudged plexiglass or steel cables. By getting as close to the cables as I could (without getting my arm ripped off) I shot with the lens wide open making the cables practically invisible. Be aware of any sunlight on the cables as this will almost certainly ruin the shot.
