Behind The Lens

Location

The photo is made at dawn, in the southern area of the island of Tenerife, specifically La Tejita, a beach of fine sand and incredible color.

Time

It is made at sunrise, about 7 am, on a winter day, where there was not a cloud on the horizon, with the sun rising on the right side of the mountain

Lighting

The lighting is what was at that time, that is, natural light at dawn with orange tones

Equipment

The equipment is a Nikon D7100 camera, with a Tokina 11/16 f2.8 lens. I also used two ND, 3-stop and PL Filter filters. Manfrotto 190 tripod, with a Nikon remote shutter. The Exif data are: f5.0, ISO 100, 13mm, 2.5 seconds of exposure time

Inspiration

It is a heavenly place, where the sea is almost always calm, with sunrises with a very red sun. It maintains the format of photo that transmits tranquility, in spite of being the oil ship in the area

Editing

The processing is very basic, I raised the shadows of the stones and a bit of contrast and sharpness to the rest of the photo. I only work with Adobe Ligthroom

In my camera bag

The above mentioned, in addition to a Nikkor 10/20, Nikkor 35 mm and my invaluable Nikkor 55-200 - Filters several of the Haida brand, 3, 4, 6 and 10 Stop - Flash SB700, Remote Triggers Nikon, Manfrotto Tripod 190, and the flashlights and cleaning kit.

Feedback

To work a lot with filters and exposure times, besides knowing your camera a lot, is very important
