Love the scene Jilly. Higlights are a little bit to bright for my personal taste but I like the composition ;)

Thanks . The phones get a little annoying in Chicago, but glad I was fast enough to capture this one.

Location
I took this photo at the Washington Blue Line Subway Station in downtown Chicago.Time
I was heading back home after trying my new camera out downtown. I took this picture around 4pm.Lighting
These tunnels are underground and have fluorescent lights. I relied on those lights as well as the headlights on the train to light up this picture.Equipment
I had recently purchased a Nikon Coolpix B500. I used that without a flash and got down on one knee for balance.Inspiration
I was inspired by everyone looking down at their phones. This is very common in Chicago. Our L trains are incredibly loud, fast, and just amazing machines in general, but 9 times out of 10 everyone is too busy on their phones to appreciate them. I think as a society living in this world driven by technology filled with social media, it is very important to remember to look up.Editing
This photo is one of many that I will most likely edit again. At the time, I only had my phone, so I used a free app called, Photo Editor Pro. I cropped this, added a black and white filter, and really played with light and contrast. In my camera bag
I don't keep much in my bag, just a lens cloth, extra batteries, and my only camera (Nikon Coolpix B500).Feedback
This picture for me, is all about the people, trains, and lines. To capture something similar, take as much time as time allows thinking about composition and how you plan to edit.
