Two fingers (in Poland), the sign of the victory of "Solidarity". Removing the monument of "Gratitude to the Soviet Army" from the pedestal in Legnica - Poland. Photo taken in March 2018.
The Monument of „Gratitude to the Soviet Army” (after 67 years) officially disappeared from the Slavic Square in Legnica (Poland). A similar action concerned all Soviet monuments in the country in connection with the deCommunization Act passed in 2016 (the Act concerns the prohibition of promoting communism or other totalitarian regime by names of buildings, facilities and public utilities).
It’s surprising that this type of resolution appeared 27 years after the change of the system to a democratic one.

Just the usual job of a reporter ... you have to be where you need it, when you need to, optionally, be somewhere else, as your hunch suggests ;)
