Behind The Lens

Location

I made this photo on Orange Beach in Gulf Shores, Alabama.

Time

I was photographing waves at sunrise and sunset. This was taken as the sun went down.

Lighting

I'm shooting with the sun low in the sky to catch the light bouncing off the waves.

Equipment

I'm using a Canon 5D MarkIV with a 24-70mm lens.

Inspiration

I'm always looking for different angles. I've seen plenty of wave photos before, but not necessarily done closeup with a wide angle lens.

Editing

I do a little cropping.

In my camera bag

I carry two cameras: the Canon 5D MarkIV and a Canon iDX.

Feedback

Well, I do gamble with my camera and sea water. I dodge lots of waves and carry a towel to wipe off spots on the front of the lens.
