Location
Photographed this model inside a chocolatier shop in Provo, Utah.Time
This was shot in mid-afternoon.Lighting
Lighting was all existing light with the it primarily being sourced from a large window behind me. But we obviously had some mixed light from the existing light fixtures. I dealt with the differences in color temperatures from the two light sources in post.Equipment
Canon 5D III w/ Canon 70-200mm 2.8L IS II, handheld, using existing light.Inspiration
Great model and great location. We had been walking through the city looking for locations of opportunity. The proprietor of the chocolate shop was very accommodating.Editing
Mostly simple retouch. I like to keep my models looking genuine, while looking their best. So I try not to go overboard on the overall retouch. Small flaws and some wrinkles I remove. But I do like to keep some of their natural look included. In my camera bag
24-70mm and 70-200mm are my must have lenses all the time. I find they tend to be my biggest workhorse lenses. I also like to carry a 14mm prime, but it isn't always in my bag. I carry some knock-off Ice Lights that work exceptionally well.Feedback
Don't be shy. If you see a great space, ask the managers if you can take some pics at their location.
