The Columbia River, once flowed freely through the Coulees of Eastern Washington. The little town of Vantage, was built upon the banks of the mighty Columbia. About 80 years ago, Wanapum Dam was built, submerging Vantage below the surface of the river. Hence, to this day, the once mighty Columbia, still rolls through the little town of Vantage.
