This Black and Yellow Argiope, more casually known as the Golden Garden Spider, is wrapping in silk what I think is possibly a grasshopper of some kind. Though you can't tell in the photo, its web is actually suspended over water - right next to the rail of a wooden pathway built over a swamp on the edge of Armand Bayou at Bay Area Park in Pasadena, Texas, a region of Houston.
