Location
I took this photo at a café downtown in an area called Subang Jaya. It was a moment which I just had the moment and I took it with my camera.Time
This was one of the most harsh time of the day to take a photo near a window which is around 11a.m. due to the limitation of dynamic range in my camera.Lighting
The lighting in the photo was a bit harsh as much details were lost in the picture. However, the file being shot in RAW enabled me to get the light and shadows to appear softer than they actually wereEquipment
My camera for this picture was the Canon 1100D with a 50mm f/1.8 lens, handheld without flash or any reflectorsInspiration
I was actually talking to one of the staffs as they were asking if my photoshooting session could be done faster as apparently the staffs are having trouble moving around. So, I was having this confused moments and when my model which is also my girlfriend were also having this confused moment. I just asked her to pose a confused and troubled look.Editing
I did, I had brought down the exposure a lil bit while darkening the shadows and also reducing the highlights which enabled me to have more details of the hair.In my camera bag
The first thing I always pack in my camera is my camera body which is the Canon 1100D which has been following me for 3 years. I always dust it and clean it before packing it while making sure it's battery is fully charged. Next, I packed up on the Canon 50mm f/ 1.8 prime lens which has also been following me for the same amount of time. I do also have the Canon installation disc which helps me at certain times to have reflections of light on my model. Besides that, I always make sure to carry my lens cloth and my kit lens which is the 18-55mm lensFeedback
My take on the advice for this shot would be to carry out the same shoot at night where indoor lights can be easily over powered by external speedlights where two flashes would need to be used. One outside the window with a higher power than the one In the indoors with a diffuser to diffuse the lights coming from the speedlight but enough to capture details of the model
