I was driving around Saylorville lake, which is close to my home. (See below dotted line for data regarding Saylorville Lake.) It is a huge lake which is surrounded by vast rolling prairie land. There in the middle of a prairie, situated on a tall seed case, was an Eastern Kingbird, waiting to spot an unsuspecting insect it could fly out and nab, it's preferred method of hunting insects. The treed area behind the bird blended into a lovely green hue. The morning sunlight brightens the eastern side of the seed pod. Mother Nature at Her Best!!
