Behind The Lens

Location

I took this photo in Golfo Aranci (Northern Sardinia).

Time

the sun was almost setting on the left. I was taking a ride to the coast with my family, intrigued by large cloud clusters.

Lighting

Finding myself in front of such a show, I just thought of mounting the camera on the tripod and taking a series of photos to be able to put this huge cell in a panoramic photo!

Equipment

At that time I had the XT-2 with different optics. In this case I used the XF 10-24.

Inspiration

I was inspired by the rare size and power of this storm cell: it's really unusual to see such large weather phenomena in my part!

Editing

After the composition of the panoramic photo, the usual general adjustments and adequate color grading.

In my camera bag

Everything a landscape photographer needs.

Feedback

My advice is to be very careful, not to get too close to the storm cell, do everything respecting the appropriate safety measures and get away as soon as possible.
