Ripped apart from the city life I finally found something to touch my heart . I got caught up in the wild . I could have feel the real meaning of the word "freedom" just by watching this horse in it's own realm .

Location
The photograph was taken in Romania, somewhere in the heart of Apuseni Moutains . Horea is a commune located in Alba County . It has a population of 2,371 and is composed of fifteen villages . So far it is my favorite photo taken this year.Time
It was close to midday when I arrived to the last house located in the small village called Fericet . I could feel the winter there . Cold temperatures and snow all around me . I could not be more happier ... and yet around the corner something suddenly caught my attention . I spotted this beautiful horse filled with freedom around him . My heartbeats were accelerating along with his wild gallop in the snow .Lighting
I was motionless as I didn't want to scare the horse . The atmosphere was just perfect . With the sun right upon the sky , I thought about the simplicity of no shadows over the snow , and how the light is just defining the horse's portrait .Equipment
This was shot on a Nikon D7200 alongside with the Nikon AF-S DX Nikkor 55-200mm f/4-5.6G ED VR . That’s all .Inspiration
Ripped apart from the city life I finally found something to touch my heart . I got caught up into the wildnerness . I could have feel the real meaning of the word "freedom" just by watching this horse galloping in it's own realm . The simplicity found within the background was adding more emotion to the capture .Editing
As usual the photograph was shot in RAW. I had balanced the lighting and the shadows and therefore I made the photo black and white . I had to remove some of the grass located on the right upper corner and I had to crop the photo ( 4:3 ) for the horse to be closer to the rule of thirds .In my camera bag
To begin with I have my Nikon D7200 that goes with the 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 VR lens. I also pack up with me the 55-200mm f/4-5.6 VR lens and the 50mm f/1.8 lens . There also come the accesories that I should never forget about . So, I have a circular polarization filter for each of the lenses, an 1000 ND filtre & a remote controler , some dry and wet wipes and the second SDcard . And to not forget about the tripod which depends of the outside atmosphere if I'll leave it in the car or not .Feedback
This photograph was quite a fast way through . I only had a few seconds to capture it due to the horse moving from there to there . I must tell you that I was lucky to have the 55-200mm on because the scenary was quite far . The first thing to do in such of a situation is to high up your shutter speed ! Otherwise from those 3 shots you get to take , all of them will be definetly failures in motion .
