Location
This photo was taken after a late surprise snowfall in late April. The ice has melted partially in the water, so you can see thaw was on the way when this snowfall surprised us. I love snow and the effects on the land it creates. We were visiting a young couple who lived on this patch of ground given to the schoolteacher to live in. They had a beautiful view and I went outside and saw the perfect view before you. It was tremendously exciting to capture this photo. The soft wet snow covered the branches just so you could see the outline of the branches. This was a perfect moment, the perfect scene, and I just happened to be there.Time
It was the noontime. I will never forget the rapture I experienced at first viewing this scene. Another few hours and it would melt.Lighting
Natural light, overcast, subdued...just perfect for this scene.Equipment
This was taken with a Cannon Powershot SX50HS. No flash, no tripod, no lenses.Inspiration
I am always inspired by Mother Nature! I always carry my camera for events you stumble upon. So happy I did!Editing
No post-processing needed. In my camera bag
I only carry the camera.Feedback
If you want to get a photo like this the snow must be just wet enough to cover the tops of the branches, leaving the dark outlines of branches. The rocks added a further dimension which led you to look further into the scene. All I saw was perfection!!
