Location
This photograph was taken at Bow Lake viewing area on the Icefields Parkway between Banff and Jasper in Alberta Province CanadaTime
The photo was taken at approximately 9am on the 30th July 2014. We are from Australia, and were on a road trip across Canada. It was a bright sunny morning and was dead calm.Lighting
The light was from behind. Giving great reflections of the mountains.Equipment
The camera used was a Panasonic DMC ZS10 shutter 1/800 f4.3 ISO 100 handheldInspiration
The Canadian Rockies has some of the most spectacular scenery in the world , there is a photo opportunity around every corner. This scene is just one small example.Editing
The only post processing, was a small crop of the bottom of the photograph to remove some tourist heads. Actually waited some time, but they were engrossed. In my camera bag
This trip we travelled light. Just had the Panasonic DMC ZS10 and a hard drive Panasonic video camera. I have two Nikon cameras a D850 and also a Nikon D5300. My main lenses are a Nikkor 200-500mm f5.6 zoom and A Nikkor 24-120mm zoom and other assorted lens. When not taking scenery I will be photographing birds. And plantsFeedback
Hang around for sometime, especially when the weather is changing. Put your ISO setting on a ( high) upper limit auto. A slightly grainy photo is better than no photo
