Behind The Lens

Location

Lunch Peak on the NE side of Lake Pend Orielle.

Time

Mid-day

Lighting

Lots of clouds, on and off snow.

Equipment

Nikon D-90

Inspiration

Wanted to get a picture of the jeep with the snow on the mountains in the background.If you are wondering about the Texas plates, son is in the USMC and had been stationed there for a time. Now has proper IDAHO plates on it.

Editing

Lightroom/Photoshop. Dehaze and contrast modification.

Feedback

If planning a trip up into the higher elevations its best to be prepared. Usually little or no cell phone signal. Many of the forest roads and trails are covered with sharp rocks that can slice a tire or rip open an oil pan. Good idea to carry a chain saw for downed trees across the road. Tow strap could be handy. Carry water and some food in case of problems and be prepared to spend the night. If you go prepared to get yourself out of trouble and not depend on AAA, you'll be fine. Do not attempt these roads with your sedan.
