Behind The Lens

Location

The image was taken from the front yard garden.

Time

I took this photo in early afternoon.

Lighting

It was over cast so I had to adjust my ISO to 400, with the aperture set to 2.8 for a little quicker shutter speed.

Equipment

It was shot with a Sony SLT-a65v. My go to lens is a Tamron 90mm 1:2.8 Macro 1:1. This is a full frame lens but I chose to buy and use the lens anyway. I have never had any problems with it.

Inspiration

I like taking macro nature photos, especially subjects close to home. I really enjoy seeing the symmetry Ifind in the final results of downloading my images to my laptop.

Editing

I used Lightroom to edit this image. I changed the colors with the Radial filter in the Develop. The stigma was changed to more of a blueish appearance and the petals to a pinkish and off white appearance. I liked the color better than the original yellow.

In my camera bag

Since I stay close to home, I usually only take my camera and lens. Sometimes I will use mt tripod if I can not find a desireable shutter speed.
