It was a very cloudy overcast day. While at this site in a boat the clouds broke up briefly giving me a little clear sky behind the subject.Equipment
Nikon D7200 with Nikkor 18-140mm lens.Inspiration
This was a vacation trip to Alaska. We were on a boat tour into Misty Fjord National Monument. More of a grab and go kind of shot. Very limited opportunity.Editing
Just some general cleaning up in Lightroom. In my camera bag
I carry a Nikon D7100 and a D7200. I have a nice Nikkor 85-400mm zoom, wide angle 10-24mm, as well as the 18-140mm zoom that I took this shot with. I carry a Sirui tripod for when I travel. I should use it more than I do.Feedback
This was just an opportunity I stumbled upon as we were cruising through the Fjord. I took lots of shots. I was only there for a few hours and the weather was what we got, so I had to work with what I had. The beauty of digital is take lots of shots with different f stops and shutter speeds. You can always delete the bad ones.
