Location
The photo was taken on a photography tour in Yellowstone National Park in one of those old historic yellow station wagon buses.Time
The wee hours of morning. I did not use a tripod, camera was on the ground facing up into the tree tops.Lighting
It was early morning in August, still very chilly.Equipment
The camera was a Canon T1i and the lens was a Sigma 10-20mm telephoto at 10mm, placed on the camera's back shooting up.Inspiration
The tour guide showed us new ways to shoot from different perspectives. I learned a lot from that tour. I arranged the tour out of Old Faithful Inn thru Xanterra, the company that I work for here at the Grand Canyon. I also took the photo tour out of Lake Yellowstone Hotel. Great tours and lasted about 5-6 hours.Editing
I did not do much post-processing other than the monochrome effect. In my camera bag
This particular trip I did not have much in the bag; Canon T1i, Sigma 10-20mm, UV filter on lens and that is about it.Feedback
Photography tours are fun. If you see a tour that interest you, if you can, take it. I was very fortunate, being an employee my tours were complimentary. It is a great way to find out information about an area with like minded people. I learned new things. Also, the guides have inside information that you may not discover by other means. We were taken to Yellowstone falls at a particular time that the rainbow at the bottom of the falls appears. Keep being creative and inspired. Viewbug members and their photography has really inspired me. Keep up the great work!
