Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken in Long Beach, NJ on our summer vacation with my grandson and sisters.

Time

It was late afternoon when this shot was taken.

Lighting

I stood with my back towards the sun to minimize the glare.

Equipment

My camera is the Cannon T6 and I used the 75/300 lens so I could stand back and capture the fun my grandson was having.

Inspiration

I had to capture the fun my grandson was having because the year before he wouldn't go near the water. This year (2017) he tried boogie boarding for the first time at age 3 and he loved it. I couldn't get him out of the water. What a difference a year makes. He became upset when it was time to go because the lifegaurds were leaving for the day. That was after he was in the water for 3 hours.

Editing

In my camera bag

I always carry a backpack with my lenses, macro, wide angle, zoom so I am prepared for anything.

Feedback

I just used my zoom lense so my grandson didn't know I was taking pictures of him. This photo is truly capturing my grandson's absolute happiness being in the water doing his thing.
