High in the hills in an isolated location above Tarifa lies this abandoned building. Tarifa is in the south of Spain, at the southernmost point of Europe. Morocco is a mere 14km across the Straits of Gibraltar. The map reference simply says “TV”. But snooping around, letting the imagination wander, there are plenty of signs of something more sinister…

Anyone can wander in here – it is right next to a bird watchers’ observatory. Admittedly the observatory is little more than a sheltered lookout, and I have never ever seen another person up here, but it is still a publicised place. And not 10 metres away are open trenches, missing manhole covers, falling masonery, twisted metal, blood stained tiles…

This is an extaordinary rendition of the building, using Extraordinary Rendition Treatment (ERT), more commonly known as HDR.
