Very cool shot, cute Buddy. I bet you took this with Nikon because he/she grabbed your Cannon toy, may be he wanted you to use the other make. Congrats on your feature.

Location
This photo was taken in my friends backyard. It was sort of a serendipity type of moment.Time
I was relaxing with friends in a local Long Island park on a summer afternoon. One of my friends had his new puppy, Buddy, with him. I had my new Canon Rebel camera with me so naturally I was eager to try it out. Buddy found me and my camera absolutely fascinating! He kept trying to get the camera away from me by biting and pulling on the strap. My friend was apologizing profusely for his puppy's behavior but I told him it was fine, great even! I was very new to photography so I decided to set my camera to "Sports" mode and just shoot away. I took hundreds of shots of Buddy and got several really great ones. This one is my all time favorite!Lighting
The lighting was soft afternoon summer sunlight and worked perfectly for this shot.Equipment
I used my brand new Canon Rebel T3i with the kit lens. The camera was straight out of the box and I was brand new to photography.Inspiration
Buddy, the rambunctious little pup in the photo was my inspiration.Editing
I didn't post process this photo much at all. I only cropped and straightened it.In my camera bag
I carry my Canon Rebel T5i with me at all times. I mostly use the kit lens but I also like to carry a Sigma 18-250mm lens. I also always have an extra charged battery and a UV lens filter.Feedback
Go with the flow would be my advice for photos similar to this. Always have your camera with you and be prepared to take a lot of shots in order to capture that one perfect image. This is true for photographing animals and children at play.
