Location
The venue is Leadenhall Market in the City of London. Parts of Leadenhall Market were used as Diagon Alley for the various Harry Potter films as well as the Leaky Cauldron. It has also been used in dramas around Victorian times, films and many other scenes.Time
This was handheld about midday if I remember correctly. I do remember waiting about 30 minutes for "orrid humans" to clear out of the way.Lighting
Lighting, I never worry about it because I always use a light meter when indoors.Equipment
I use Olympus system these days and with their stabilization system I can hand hold the camera down to about two seconds. I still have all my Nikon system but I never use it these days. far too heavy.Inspiration
The market has been photographed hundreds of times but you do not see the small alleyways, so I photographed this one.Editing
Lightroom is all I useIn my camera bag
One camera, four prime lenses, Godox flash, Seconic Lightmeter, Flash Jells, Platypod Ultra and a mobile phone. I do not want to carry ten tons of equipment around. Keep the bag light.Feedback
Patience is a virtue. Look for scenes in films, the small scenes these are the one worth photographing. Look out for film units and ask questions like, previous places, where are you going next, it really helps you find that location.
